Nobody Is Above the Law—Rapid Response Events
The Crisis Response Network is mobilizing in response to stand up against Trump's #FakeNationalEmergency to defend our democracy and immigrant, Muslim, black, and brown communities from Trump’s dangerous national emergency power grab. To get updates on that mobilization, scheduled for Monday February 18th at 12PM noon local time, pledge to join our protests at: crisisresponse.us
Nobody is above the law. When Trump appointed Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general—in a blatant attempt to undermine special counsel Robert Mueller and derail the investigation—Trump crossed a red line. This coalition responded by launching over 500 protests nationwide, attended by over 100,000 people.
We stand ready to march again.
If Trump crosses one of the following “red lines,” we will take to the streets again:
- Firing Mueller.
- Pardons of key witnesses.
- Actions that would prevent the investigation from being conducted freely, such as replacing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Mueller’s current supervisor, or repealing the regulations establishing the office.
- The Mueller investigation releases findings showing significant wrongdoing by Donald Trump. Or Congress or the administration blocks the public from seeing Mueller's findings.
Find an event near you and sign up to be notified of the next major protest. Join us to defend the rule of law, because nobody is above the law—not even the president.
Note: A core principle shared by supporting organizations is a commitment to nonviolent, peaceful actions.
