Trump is attempting to dismantle the Department of Education. Gutting this agency means ripping away federal funding from families that need it the most. Children with disabilities would lose special education services. Class sizes will explode and job training programs will be cut, hurting kids and families from low-income communities. But educators will still be there to support their students however possible.

Republicans across the country are working to decimate public education and villainize public school teachers. They are attempting to dismantle the Department of Education, get rid of teachers unions, cut critical federal funding, and gut any programs that support equity and inclusion.

But together we can defend public education and the educators who give so much to our kids and community. Start by sending them a note of encouragement for all they do!
