Host a Vice Presidential Debate Watch Party with MoveOn!

The first vice presidential debate between Gov. Tim Walz and OH Senator JD Vance is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, at 9 p.m. ET (8 CT/7 MT/6 PT), and we're inviting you to host a watch party to rally behind Tim Walz!

Create a vice presidential debate watch party event to gather your community and participate in this electric night and to provide your neighbors with ways to help elect Vice President Harris and Tim Walz this election cycle.

Some logistical pointers:

  • WHEN: The debate starts at 9 p.m. ET (8 CT/7 MT/6 PT) and will last approximately 90 minutes. Please plan to start your event at least 30 minutes BEFORE the debate start time and conclude at least 90 minutes after the debate start time.
  • WHERE: Your event can be in a venue like a local bar or restaurant, a public space such as a library or community center, or even your home. If you're not sure where you want to hold it, we recommend posting the event for where you'd like to have it, then confirming that it can accommodate you. You can update the venue later. The most important thing is that you are able to watch the event on TV or projector and that attendees will be able to hear.
  • We have more tips in the Host Guide.

As an event creator, you will receive 50 points that you can use in MoveOn's Vote Mobilizer portal to redeem limited-edition T-shirts, power banks, exclusive stickers, and more!
