On Tuesday, April 4th, tens of thousands took the streets to demand that Barr #ReleaseTheReport.

Attorney General William Barr, Trump's hand-picked attorney general missed the deadline set by Congress to release the full Mueller report, and on April 3rd, news broke that Mueller's investigators were saying that Barr's four-page summary of the Mueller report misrepresented their findings and that the full report is more "troubling" for Trump.

This is a cover-up. And we responded in force with a National Day of Action to demand that Barr #MakeItPublic and #ReleaseTheReport.

On November 8, 2018, crowds of Americans from all backgrounds and walks of life stood up to declare, "Nobody is above the law."

From massive turnout that filled city blocks in New York (you've got to see and hear the videos below) to crowds in Sarasota, Charlottesville, Denver, Bellingham, and on and on and on.

More than 100,000 people attended hundreds of events across the country to demand that the Acting Attorney General at the time, Matt Whitaker, a crony who was appointed the day after the 2018 election, recuse himself and that Congress act to defend the independent Mueller probe from Donald Trump. These events were pulled off in just 24 hours, and just two days after we put it all on the line in the 2018 midterm elections.

The crowds were so immediate, so national, so resounding, that even the White House was reportedly taken aback by how vocally their move to quash the investigation was being rejected, suggesting Whitaker's role running the Department of Justice could be short-livedAnd Senator Jeff Flake announced that he and Senator Chris Coons would force a roll-call vote on the "protect Mueller bill" when the Senate reconvened. Since that time, even the House has unanimously passed a non-binding resolution demanding the full findings of the investigation be made public.

Donald Trump floated a trial balloon for authoritarianism, and we just popped it. Our actions are playing a critical role in shaping the response to this power grab.

Donald Trump thought he could catch us when we had no energy left to march against his power grab after we had just marched to the polls. But he was wrong.

And the fact that so many members of Congress were home for the election meant that many events featured speakers who have the power to hold Trump accountable, such as Representative Elijah Cummings, who spoke to a crowd of 800 in Baltimore; Representative Pramila Jayapal in Seattle; or Senator Michael Bennet in Denver.

We demonstrated the power of the Nobody Is Above the Law network, and if another red line is crossed, we will launch the network again. Find an event near you, and join us to defend the Mueller investigation.
