As a constituent, I am urging you to fight back against any proposed cuts in funding on federal aid, grants and loans that would have devastating impacts on children, veterans and seniors. Tens of millions of Americans are impacted by the cutoff of these programs. States, organizations, and local officials are scrambling to respond and interpret this directive from the Trump administration and what it means for our communities.

If not stopped, these cuts would be devastating for people in the U.S. and globally–disrupting public services, eliminating the infrastructure for non-profits, erode infrastructure and safety nets, and impact jobs across the country.

Serving the American people means being a representative to all of us. We need leadership in Congress, and in Washington, that puts people first over political gain. Congress already passed the bill to secure this critical funding, and working families need it to survive. Stop the cuts, especially to Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, and fully fund our families!
