Tell your Rep: No cuts to essential programs!

The new speaker of the House is MAGA extremist Representative Mike Johnson. Johnson is already on record saying that Republicans will make cuts to domestic programs in order to fund our already enlarged military budget. This cannot happen, and we need to fight back.

• Republicans know these toxic, unpopular policies and funding cuts would not pass through Congress if they faced standalone votes, so their plan is to use the threat of a government shutdown to jam through their catastrophic agenda. 
• MAGA House Republicans’ cuts would make life harder for everyday people—raising costs for families, hurting students, seniors, and rural communities, and undermining our economy.
• The GOP is also lying when they say any of their new appropriation cuts are promoting fiscal responsibility. The OMB reports Republicans would add at least $100 billion to deficits over 10 years, including by making it easier for the wealthy and big corporations to cheat on their taxes.

If you have experience or know people who benefit from veterans benefits, the Special Supplemental Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), SNAP or Social Security and Medicare, now is the time to speak up for essential programs.
