Call Sen. Schumer to ensure he leads Democrats to pass the big solutions we need

Mitch McConnell's reign of terror as Senate majority leader is most likely finally over. Moreover, the victory of Senator-elect Raphael Warnock and the predicted victory of Jon Ossoff have proven a key point: When Democrats campaign on policies that materially improve people's lives, they can win—even in a battleground state like Georgia.

Now, it's up to the likely new majority leader, Senator Schumer, and the almost-assured new Democratic majority to deliver the transformative solutions we need to work toward an America that works for all of us. We worked so hard for this electoral victory, and now we must finish the job we started.

Will you call Senator Schumer now to declare that the voters have spoken again and we need him to lead the Democrats to deliver big, bold solutions to address the multiple crises we face, from the coronavirus pandemic to the economic crisis to climate change to racial justice? 

Here is a sample script: 

Hi! My name is YOUR NAME and I'm calling to say that voters have twice now given Democrats a mandate to act boldly and pass transformational solutions to the multiple crises that we face. As the likely majority leader, I want to see Senator Schumer lead the caucus to pass policies like 

• democracy reform,
• a green recovery,
• health care for all,
• recurring cash payments and more COVID pandemic relief,
• canceling student debt,
• a pathway to citizenship, and
• policing and criminal justice reform.

Senate Democrats must use their power in the majority to deliver real relief and long-term solutions. There is no time to lose.
